The 1st Ever National Step Show Tournament of Champions

National Greek Network, Inc. presents “The 1st Ever National
Step Show Tournament of Champions”, a national extravaganza,
to determine who are “truly” the best Step Teams in the
nation. This tournament will encompass alumni, collegiate,
high school student and middle school student step teams
from around the nation.
Quite simply, a national step show tournament, by definition,
is a competition that embraces all step shows and all
step teams in every state of the nation. Such a tournament
takes the nation and embraces it’s regions, where the
winners of all of the step shows that are held in a particular
region, meet face to face at a regional championship to
determine who is the best in that particular region. From
that regional championship they advance to the finals,
where they meet face to face with other regional finalists,
to compete for the national championship title.
Many have attempted to accomplish producing such an event,
but no one has ever had the resources or track record
of success, until now.
To accomplish the task of producing a true national step
show tournament, we have taken the nation and divided
it into six (6) regional divisions. These divisions are
as follows and encompass the following areas:
The Northern Regional Step Show
Tournament, comprising all recognized
step shows held in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts,
Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
The Eastern Regional Step Show Tournament,
comprising all recognized step shows held in Pennsylvania,
Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia,
and West Virginia.
The Southeastern Regional Step Show
Tournament, comprising all recognized
step shows held in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia,
Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.
The South Central Regional Step
Show Tournament, comprising all
recognized step shows held in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana,
Oklahoma, and Texas.
The North Central Regional Step
Show Tournament, comprising all
recognized step shows held in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan,
Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri,
North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas.
The Western Regional Step Show Tournament,
comprising all recognized step shows held in Montana,
Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado,
New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California.
Each recognized step show, held within a region, will
be considered a qualifier for that region’s step show
championship. The 1st place winners of each recognized
step show will advance to compete in their respective
region’s step show championship. In the event a 1st place
winning step team is unable, or unwilling to perform in
their region’s step show championship, the 2nd place winning
step team, by default, will receive the privilege of entering
the competition.
The 1st place winners of each regional step show championship
will advance to compete in The 1st Ever National Step
Show Tournament of Champions Championship. In the event
a 1st place winning step team is unable, or unwilling
to perform in the championship, the 2nd place winning
step team, by default, will receive the privilege of entering
the competition. A total of twelve (12) step teams will
compete head-to-head at The 1st Ever National Step Show
Tournament of Champions Championship to determine who
are “truly” the best Step Teams in the nation.
Our regional step show championships will be held in major
cities throughout the nation and will take place around
major event weekends. The national championship will be
held on a date T.B.A. and at a location T.B.A. in 2003.
