Show Rules & Regulations
1. Each judge will use the categories (shown below)
to judge each teams performance.

high school and middle school teams)

Exit Step: 1-5
2. Each team will have a total of 12 minutes to perform
including the Intro and Exit step. Two points will be
deducted for each minute overtime. 5 minutes overtime
results in elimination.
3. Each Step Team will be required to include a traditional
step in the show and include information about the purpose
of their respective organizations.
4. The overall step performance category of the judging
criteria will allow for scoring reductions for profanity
and sexually explicit material.
5. The lowest score sheet and highest score sheet will
be eliminated and the average of the remaining score
sheet totals will be the team’s score. The maximum score
an alumni or collegian step team can score is 100 points.
The maximum score a high school, or middle school step
team can score is 90 points.
6. Each Step Team must have all music cued on one tape.
A person should be assigned to instruct the sound person
during the performance.
7. If lighting cues vary during a Step Team’s performance,
they should have a stage/lighting coordinator.
8. All stage props must be approved by National Greek
Network, Inc. two weeks prior to the show.
9. All Step Teams must report to all scheduled meetings,
practice sessions, interviews and photo sessions on-time.
10. If a Step Team member is found to be unsportsman-like
causing a disruption to the step show, the Step Team
he represents will be disqualified.
11. All Step Teams must submit a picture of the team
or a team member stepping. The picture may be used for
the web site and the souvenir programs.
12. At the end of each step show, the first place finishers
will be photographed.
These rules are subject to
change at any time. If we decide to change these rules
your Step Team will be notified in advance, before they
take affect. |
